The youth of the DRC gave a very warm welcome to the Deputy Executive Director of UNFPA. At the podium, Dr. Diene Keita, in front of about sixty teenagers and young members of the academy of women's leadership addressed a very inspiring message that should lead young people to fight for the realization of their dreams. During the exchanges, she stressed:

All African girls must be able to  contribute to the development of the continent. I will put my little stone in the work as much as I can with all the young mentors and leaders so that we can contribute to this.”

In addition, the youth of Lubumbashi invited the Deputy Executive Director to sign the call to action against child marriage. Thus, the Deputy Executive Director and the Deputy Director of Cabinet of the Congolese Head of State, Mrs. Nicole Ntumba Bwatshia, signed the call.

Finally, in an effort to leave no one behind, Dr. Diene Keita went to meet with vulnerable girls of the Kitumaini initiative in the Ruashi municipality of Lubumbashi. Accompanied by the Provincial Minister of Health, Dr. Joseph SAMBI, Nicole Bwatsha the Deputy Director of Cabinet of the President of the Republic and the Regional Director of UNFPA. The delegation took part in the graduation ceremony of the teenagers trained in tailoring and aesthetics.
